Next day drive via a very scenic road over the foothills of the Pirin Mountain to Gotze Delcev, passing an old roman city to Ognyanovo and Kovachevitza before returning to Bansko.

You leave Bansko for the Rila Monastery with a visit of Blagoevgrad and the sandstone pyramids of Stob before reaching the peace behind the fortified monastery walls. Next day there is a scenic drive via Dupnica to the ski resort of Borovetz. A narrow winding road connects Sestrimo and the water reservoir of Belmeken in the heights of the Rila Mountain. Return to Bansko.
